Welcoming Dr. Anna Hoellein to Decatur Smiles!
Dr. Anna Hoellein is a skilled and compassionate general dentist dedicated to helping patients achieve healthy, confident smiles. Originally from Rapid City, South Dakota, she relocated to the Decatur area in 2017 and quickly embraced the local community as her home.
Before dental school, Dr. Hoellein spent several years living in Germany, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Psychology and an Associate’s Degree in Business Management from the University of Maryland Global Campus. She went on to complete her Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) at the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Dentistry, graduating in 2025.
Her clinical interests include restorative and cosmetic dentistry, with a focus on both function and aesthetics. Known for her gentle chairside manner, strong attention to detail, and patient-first mindset, Dr. Hoellein brings a thoughtful, modern approach to every treatment plan.
She was hand-selected by Dr. Stephanie Teichmiller to join Decatur Smiles after years of mentorship and collaboration at the UAB School of Dentistry.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Hoellein enjoys spending time with her husband and their two golden retrievers. She looks forward to building long-lasting relationships with patients and serving the Decatur community for years to come.
